What is a tax model?

“Phachi Model” is a project initiated to be a center for collecting and disseminating information on environmental crime cases that occurred in Phachi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province. It is an example case that reflects the problem of illegal management of industrial waste, hazardous chemicals without a license, and burning of chemical warehouses, which have severe impacts on the community and environment in the area.

Our Aspiration

We are committed to making the “PASI Model” a valuable resource for studying and understanding environmental crime in Thailand, with the following goals:

• Disseminate accurate and complete information: We present detailed information related to the tax case so that all sectors are aware of the impact and severity of the problem.

• Raise awareness: We want to encourage society to be aware of the importance of environmental conservation and the impact of illegal activities on communities and ecosystems.

• Support problem solving: We hope that the information from the “Phachi Model” will be useful for relevant agencies, including the general public who are interested in using it as a case study and jointly finding ways to prevent and solve environmental crimes in the future.

Why use a tax model?

The Pachi warehouse case is an important case study because it demonstrates the complexity and impacts of environmental crime.
Studying and disseminating information about this case will help us understand:

• Loopholes in laws and enforcement

• Impact on public health and life

• Damage to ecosystems and the environment

• Guidelines for public participation in monitoring and solving problems

We believe that cooperation from all sectors, including the government, private sector, and the public sector, will be an important force in preventing and solving environmental crimes in order to create a sustainable and environmentally friendly society.
