The Department of Industrial Works, together with the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division Police, held a meeting to follow up on the problem of illegal waste dumping in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The team will visit the Pachi warehouse on November 21st.
On November 14, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., Mr. Chulapong Thawisri, Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, assigned Mr. Sunthorn Kaewsawang, Director of the Legal Division, Acting Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Works, to chair a meeting to discuss the progress of solving the problem of illegal dumping of industrial waste in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province and nearby areas to prepare information for clarification to the House of Representatives Industrial Affairs Committee. The meeting is scheduled to visit the area to monitor the progress of the case of illegal storage and dumping of hazardous chemicals and various types of waste, approximately 4,000 tons, in the area of 5 old warehouses without business licenses, located in Phachi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province on November 21, 2023.
The officials who attended the meeting included Mr. Warit Somsong, Director of Industrial Waste Management Group 1, Industrial Waste Management Division, officers from the Legal Division, Department of Industrial Works, along with Mr. Thira Kaewpimol, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Provincial Industry Officer, Police Colonel Winyu Chamsai, Director of Division 2, Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Suppression Division (NRECD), and relevant persons. The meeting was held at Meeting Room 509, 5th Floor, Department of Industrial Works Building.
